Annual General Meeting 2012 We have a new committee to take us into what is going to be a very exciting 2013. Having said goodbye to our President Maree who after 3 extremely busy years including this past year when we saw Maree complete the Sustainability Victoria Grant she is now moving to the position of Workshops and Public Relations co-ordinator an equally vital and active role. How lucky we are to have Maree still sharing her knowledge and participating in garden activities both within and outside the garden.
We now welcome in the new committee for 2013. Smiling President is Julie Howell, backing her up as Vice President is Lorraine Martin who also takes control of our very successful food swap. Lorraine Carlton holds the purse strings as Treasurer and Pauline Greenwell is our efficient Secretary. Rob Schmidt continues in his role as OHS officer and our new sub committees are Maree, Public Relations and Workshops Kim, Plants and Seedlings and as previously mentioned Lorraine Martin, Food Swap. Helen Allerly is a valuable general committee member who has already participated in the clearing of Rusty and other projects around the garden. Val Kent has generously accepted to scribe the minutes at the General Meetings. Please get behind the committee and give them your support as we are only as efficient as the generous contributions made by members.
Our next general meeting will be on Sunday December 9, 2012 at 12 noon at the garden - we hope to see you there at the meeting as well as to share lunch. Come along and put in a couple of hours' work on the communal parts of the gardens from 10 am and bring a plate to share for lunch. This is a great opportunity to meet other gardeners and also do your bit for the Gardens. A safety tour of the garden will be followed by the meeting and a shared lunch will be enjoyed after the meeting. We'll put the kettle on and chat about what's been going on and say Merry Christmas.
